About Me
Growing up I was very sporty and also very injury prone. Whilst trying my hand at elite sport, namely hockey, I gained a true sense of how important injury prevention and rehabilitation is in a sporting environment. Fuelled by this understanding I went on to study Sports Therapy at the university of Worcester - graduating with honours in 2019 - and although my own sporting journey never quite reached any lofty heights I have since had some amazing experiences working as a sports therapist in the worlds of hockey, football and rugby.
My more recent experience includes working on the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme as a health and well-being coach and also working in a chiropractic clinic supporting their work with soft tissue therapies and injury rehabilitation services. In both of these positions I have gained a greater appreciation for the importance of a holistic approach to sports therapy and have seen significant power in nurturing the relationships between our mental health and internal physiology when looking to improve functional movement.
Through this recent work I have found my professional interests have widened. Coming from a sporting background I always found my greatest value in diagnosing and treating sporting injuries, and whilst I still remain efficacious in this, I feel that it is important to broaden my practice to help people with their physical reactions to life’s stresses.
