I am a fully qualified Sports therapist and Level 4 sports massage therapist, having completed my BSc Hons in Sports Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage at Cardiff Metropolitan University. 

 

I have had a passion for sports since a young age, with Netball being my main sport and since experiencing multiple injuries over time, I have been able to see the importance and benefits of maintenance massage for myself in the recovery and prevention process. I can also understand the stress and frustration of having time out due to the body recovering and needing rest when all you want to do is get back to play. 

 

This is what lead me to train as a Sports Therapist as I found enjoyment in understanding how the body works and moves as well as finding pleasure in helping others achieve their goals. 

 

As a Sports Therapist, my role is to help each client recover from injuries, relieve stress and return to play at their optimal fitness levels as quickly and safely as possible. I also help those who feel a tightness in their muscles from things such as poor posture or being sat at a desk all day, by giving Sports Massage to loosen and lengthen the muscles as best as I can. 

 

I take each client through an initial assessment where I look at posture and several movements of the body, which allows myself to gain a better understanding of what is causing the issue. From gaining this information, I can then provide each client with the most appropriate treatment tailored to their specific needs, whether that be a rehabilitation programme, massage sessions or both.
